and isn't a little too ironic... don't ya think?

Hey, what do you do for a living, buddy? Since you are an expert on the topic, I'll leave you to wallow in your own awesomeness. Why don't you read a little while you do.

Read the side, too, on this one.. The one that says"What role does my windshield play to ensure my safety in an accident?" http://www.safewindshields.com/

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.-- Mark Twain (1835-1910)
Let me guess... You work at a windshield repair shop. You have to use business week to show the usage of windshield? Why don't we go with the more common site?

And you're right. You've removed all my doubt!

BTW, I like this part from your article
The glass may break but the polyvinyl layer is flexible
and cushions the impact. This feature explains why windshields are
made of glass not plastic. Plastic is rigid and unforgiving to a
persons head and neck.
Plastic is rigid, but polyvinyl is flexible. To show you that anyone can write anything in order to make a buck. That writer doesn't know that polyvinyl is a type of plastic. Plastic is rigid? Really? Plastic is unforgiving to a person's head and neck, but glass is not? :screwy:

I think you're a MORAN if you don't wear a seat belt, but I don't want some cop pulling me over and writing a ticket because I forget to buckle up right after I get in my car drive a couple blocks away on a quick run to the grocery store. It basically boils down to your opinions on the role of government in our lives... I also don't like the idea of children being able to legally not wear a seat belt, it should be adults only.

I agree. Kids should not get to choose until they get their own driver's license.

Im sorry but when argueing using research, never ever quote wikipedia. Why do you ask? Because the same exact reason why you said his source isn't creditable. Anyone can change the info on wikipedia, it isn't a credible source.

As for the whole debate, I believe everyone has the right to choose how they live or die as long as it doesn't effect me. As far as someone wearing a seatbelt I never heard of the lack there of killing someone else so...I could care less if you do or don't. Motorcycles in general are dangerous, if you are argueing the fact that a helmet is necessary to save your life I would find that kind of a second thought. Yes there are many situations where a helmet is going to save your life, but I for one never want to be on the road with a motorcycle. I have been ran off the road in a full sized sedan by some idiots, no way your gonna catch me on a little motor with two wheels while there are hummers, f250s, and other massive tank sized vehicles in the hands of people such as that. But again that is just me, if you like that idea then it is all yours.

it's moran the new odiot?

john is a big boy so i'm not coming to his defense but please explain to me what anyone's job has to do with a debate in which both sides are suppose to show facts, stats, research etc etc to prove their side? Why don't we start questioning people's knowledge of fish keeping based on their profession too now while we're at it.

Since you asked, I'll answer. I was implying that he is out of his league. My profession has been hands on in the automotive industry for over 15 years. Everything from general repair to motor swaps, to custom exhaust, to building race cars and offroad trucks. Thats my work life. In my personal life, I've raced motocross, I've raced circle track. I've seen hundreds, if not thousands of crashes. Some unfolded 25 feet in front of me at 80 MPH. I've literally pulled men from flaming cars, I (with 10ish other men) physically lifted the side of a car off a person when someone lost control and ended up in the pit stands. My life has revolved around this type of thing since I was a little kid. I have a very in depth knowledge of autos, and racing, and as a result, I know a decent amount about collisions. Not trying to brag or anything like that, but it is what I know. Now, here I am, on the internet, arguing vehicular structure with what seems to be an IT tech (he still hasn't stated otherwise).

You see, about 6 months ago, Johnny Boy and I had a little disagreement in a different thread. He has had a personal vendetta against me ever since. Every time we've crossed paths since, he has done nothing except try to discredit my words. This is just another example. If you notice, he isn't even arguing the topic at hand...He is arguing whatever I say, no matter what it is. This thread has been derailed so bad it is embarrassing to even post in it again. It went from helmet laws to bickering about windshields. I've yet to see a single stat, fact, or evidence of even 30 seconds of research to prove anything from him.

I don't see how one's knowledge of their occupation needs any explaining. If Jeff Rapps, Pedro, or Mike (H2o) offered me advise on fish keeping, I would do whatever they said to the T. Based on their profession, their knowledge of fish keeping is greater than the average hobbyist, therefor their advise would be held in higher regards.

Hahaha, no, I'm not a windshield installer. And Wikipedia? WIKIPEDIA?! Are you serious? You can't be. Oh, and it's not MY article. I just posted the first three things that came up when I googled "windshield safety". Just trying to get the ball rolling for ya, so you can educate yourself before you spew any more bull****. It's starting to stink in here.

he just likes to disagree with everything.....
