also what size drains should i use for my wet/dry? and what do you guys think will be a good GPH rate to shoot for, im going to use a rubbermaid container filled with roughly 10lbs of lava rock rubble for bio filtration and a few big filter pads and alot of filter floss.....

Those lumber looks too thin for the stand that you're planning bro...

If thats all you are going to be using as support for the tank i'd be concerned. get some 2x4s and brace it up a bit more, unless you're planning something else to add strength.

thats not the stand. I am going to use 3/4" fly inside that frame. Then after that I will add a 1x4" every 4-6" laterally the tank is 300g. My livestock so far is 1 motor, 1 ornate and 1 aro really cant think of anything else i could put in there

I hope that your planning to build the box as a stand alone aquarium and not going to rely on this frame as a support in anyway for the box (like a slip on decoration).

you'll get the most support and strength from the box itself anyway just remember to pre-drill all your screw holes with a proper sized bit and try to keep them under 2" apart.

 Keep us updated and we'll make sure you get it built right

heres a little better pics. the middle supports are held in with wood glue and 3" drywall screws drilled through the center of the top and bottom

i am going to put the bottom plywood directly under the frame and put a 1.5" screw every 3-4"s along with a ton of wood glue. The main support for the bottom of the tank will be the stand
