I watch these shows all the time, I am a closet foodie. Bourdain rules

Saw that but totally forgot about it til now. He's talking about all the fresh fish you can get and then mentions about one even trying to get away and shows it wiggling across the floor.

Both shows are great. Zimmerman's is a little more weird, eating weird bugs/weird fruits and parts of animals westerners don't eat. I like bourdains show better I think. Better narrator, and seems to get more into the area he's in and about that then just food itself. And they always eat more traditional meals.

fish sauce is basically liquid salt and doesn't really taste like fish.

You're talking about the brown liquid right? It doesn't look like salt but it's very very salty. In Asian cuisine they usually use fish sauce instead of salt for flavorings. If you eat at a Chinese restaurant you've probably had fish sauce.

yeah they're eating that animal raw.. Either with no plans on cooking it or just while butchering it.. the woman says "I can't wait to eat the brains"
