I love both shows.

Andrew Zimmern eats stuff that even I wouldn't try, and I think I'm pretty adventurous with food, lol.

i like seeing what he will eat next.
you cant really make a list of the nastiest he has eatin cus most of its nasty
i dont have the stomach for "odd" foods lol

Andrew Zimmern is pretty enjoyable.

I like Bourain's show, but I could never really get into it because I read all his books first. If you read A Cook's Tour, you find out just how much he hates doing TV shows; he rags on it nonstop almost the whole book. Plus, in his books he's so much more uncensored, it's a riot.

Well I'm thinking he likes it alright, since he's rolling in money now. I think he hates the politics of it. I've met him once (right after Kitchen Confidential came out... he still worked at Les Halles Brasserie), and his character in real life his so much cruder, offensive, and overall awesome than he ever portrays on TV.

I'm not saying I don't give him respect for what he's done with that particular industry, but that I just prefer his writing.

Well, now that we've met his paid associate on the boards...

I like Zimmern's show, but he's such a wuss. I'd be willing to try all of the things he's eaten. He says Durian was terrible, but it's delicious- only the fresh stuff, not the frozen crap that's defrosted and sold here in the states. As for the fermented tofu he didn't like, I can't wait until the next time I'm in China so I can give that a shot.
