Since I fix computers all day, I prefer the simplicity and reliability of the iOS. Also since I had an iPod already, I didn't have to rebuy music which was nice.

Androids can do a lot more though, and expandable memory is a huge thing. Though I hear Samsung is also getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack in it's new Galaxy model same way Apple did with the iPhone 7 which is a huge bummer.

if Android goes full retard like Apple did I'll quit phones.

I'm an Android guy. I prefer complexity in my devices (more features, more ability to be flexible with apps and programs etc). I've always been a PC over Mac kinda guy so Android just fit better for me. If you want simple smartphones Apple definitely has that market.

I have the S6 Active (water proof up to 3 feet for 30 minutes, no case required for drops etc) and I love it. That thing has fallen down concrete stairs, fell out of my kayak, and been normally dropped well over 1000 times lol, no cracks dents or breakage.

I'm not willing to give up my keyboard so I currently have a Blackberry Q10.

But by the end of the month, whatsapp messenger will no longer be working on my OS so I'll be switching to an Android...a Blackberry Priv because like I said...I'm not giving up my keyboard LOL

It seems to be coming.

I agree Android can definitely do more. When I sold them, I broke it down like this ... Go Android if you will be doing a lot of things from your phone and multitasking and want extra memory. Go iPhone if you use it less and want a more reliable one you won't have to fuss with it much. I treat mine almost more like a cell phone than a smart phone, so the I don't mind the lack. I want stability.

The Windows/Mac comparison was somewhat apt, though the Android OS is far more stable than the recent Windows OS so perhaps not the best, but then the recent iOS updates have been more shaky than normal. If my games came on Mac, I'd get one in a heart beat. Windows has forgotten how to make a stable OS it seems, and Windows 7 support ends in 2020. I might have to go Mac if Microsoft doesn't get their stuff straight.

you aren't a fan of windows 10? I enjoy the hell out of it! I liked 7 too but 10 I have zero issues with, I avoided 8 completely hahaha

Yeah, very disappointed with the new lightning connector. They break a lot. I never had a single one of the old 30 pin style break once. I still have the original cable of that style that still works despite it's age.
Buy Anker cables. I've been using them for about 3 years now, and I've never had one break. And I don't go easy on cables. I've broken stock Apple cables (they practically break themselves), Belkin cables, and even Monster cables. We have at least 6 cables from Anker now, for various devices.
