Wow, there's SO much we'll need to know...

Tank size?
Filtration?
Stocking (fish and coral)?
Lighting?
Temperature?
Age of system?
Water parameters?
Additives?
What did you feed and amount, how often?
Size of anemones?
Type of anemones?
How long did you have them?

This is all I can think of right now, but if you can think of any more details, please let us know those, as well.

Filtration? protein skimmer, marine land 150, pump
Stocking (fish and coral)? 2 clown fish, 1 panther, and 1 dwarf lion fish

This is very, very small for one anemone, let alone 2.

I hope you're planning a very large upgrade for the Panther Grouper (is that what you mean?) and this is too small for the lionfish, as well.

Lighting? life-glo2
When I Googled, this, I only came up with the different bulbs that they sell. I was looking for what kind of lighting, and how many watts... Anemones need pretty strong lighting.

Temperature?82

Age of system? 2 months
This is a very young system for the fish, and way too young for an anemone.

What did you feed and amount, how often? once a day
I'm guessing you were feeding a variety of foods? Also, were you feeding the anemones once a day, or do you mean you were feeding the whole tank?

How long did you have them?1 month

By "parameters," I mean your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, calcium, and KH levels. I also run other tests on my SW tank, but these are the ones which most folks run, I believe. These are going to be KEY in figuring out what's going wrong in what is a very young, overstocked system.

This is a link to a huge wealth of information on anemones, their care, systems, lighting, etc. By no means do you need to read all of it (there's so much) but browsing through some of the articles on care might not be a bad idea. If you find that the things described aren't things you were providing or doing, then that's a good sign that before you try these again, you'll need to correct those things.

thank you so much justonemoretank... i really needed opinions like yours...
i am about to set up a 45 gallon tank for those two..
but now i know what to do.. i will read all most of the articles. thank you for the link..
again thank you

I'm glad I could help. You'll find more information there than you can believe. I think if you follow everything you find there, your next experience with anemones will be a positive one!

Edit: Oh, and if you run into anything you don't understand, or just have any more questions, let us know. Good luck!

Just be sure and do some research to find out what all he really needs (aside from a large volume of water, these guys also eat a lot, and poop a lot, so your filtration will have to match that) and if you feel like it's not something you're up to right now, re-home him or trade him in at your LFS for something that will fit into your 45 better.
