I have all my angels in hard tap water ph 7.6 have had them for over a year and lost only 1 ,I feed my a mixture of hbh 5 flake frenzy mixed with alot of spirilina.I use to lose angels all the time but found a good place to get them from .alot of wholesalers just crowds them up too much and by the time they reach the pet stores they are wat streesed.

Okay, i had a similar problem years ago. Over the course of 5 or 6 years, i probably purchased 40 or 50 angelfish over that time period, only to have them perish within a week or two. Finally, i found some locally bred ones, which were not only cheaper, but also survived and thrived. I beleive that many angelfish are imported from the far east and/or florida, and are just plain weak. Shop around, and try to find some locally bred ones. Getting more from the same source will only result in more failure. I had to try at least 5 different sources before findings ones that survived. Good luck :)

hey whats going on now? u still trying?
