Angel rams

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't know what they actually are called, but our LFS here a couple months back had a similar fish that you are talking about. It kind of has the shape of a Bolivian Ram, with the colors and pattern of a GBR, and finnage similar to an angelfish. Kind of like a Balloon Ram with fins like an angelfish. It was quite interesting looking. And they are said to only get to 3 inches max, just like the Bolivian.

most of the angel rams I see around here just look like short bodied rams, much like balloon mollies vs regular ones.

Here are the Angel Rams!!! Nice Pair hopefully they breed!

sorry dude, those are balloon rams... they are just short bodied mutations of the common ram. there is no angelfish blood in there. it's a genetic defect. and yes, they are just like rams and will breed like rams.

Then my LFS labeled it wrong because it said angel rams. Im pretty sure its an Angel ram. Google it on images!

Angel ram and balloon ram can both be used. They are common names...

There is no angel blood in that fish. It is pure ram.

the common name is angel ram, but that doesn't mean that it's an angel x ram.
More like it's a ram with a slightly angle shaped body.

i have the exact same fish and my lfs said angel rams so i know what you are talking about. i have 4 of these beautifull fish and i am wondering on how to sex them and breed them.
