Thx. I must also mention that your substrate is spectacular. I've been leaning towards using mixed size natural gravel that looks similar to yours.

hey no problem. the substarte is flourite mixed with some pea gravel form home depot. happened mosly on accidnet but i love the way it turned out. here is a while tank shot if you will... kinda shows it off but i can try for a better one if needed..

big pissy male..he ate too many fish so off to the store the pair went

Hmmmm, what other fish did your angel eat? My pair of golds (6 mo. old) are getting quite large and share a tank with about 20 cardinal tetras.

well in ONE night that darn male ate 18 cardinal tetras. every...last...one. before this stunt he decided to go and kill the discus that where in the tank with it. that was pretty much the end of his life with me. i took him to one of the LFS and said he ate all my cardinals, turn him into cardinals. so i walked away with 14 cardinals out of the deal. haha

i wish the pictures were better and had more sense of scale. the last one is closest, he is against the back wall of the 55..so he was a good 6" long and about 8-9 inches tall or so..

Ouch. Somehow I suspected that your victims were either neons or cardinals. My gold pair are laying eggs now and have become quite hateful of all other tankmates. They haven't topped out in size yet so I still have some time left before moving them.

My angels are yet to get a chance to eat any other fish, but they are eyeing off the guppies in the tank next to them
