hey 2 of my angels started breeding last night. they coated a small leaf w/ eggs and are now protecting them. i've looked up some info but couldn't find any tips on keeping the babies alive and healthy. FYI they're in a tank w/ bichirs so if i don't separate them then they're feeders;). anyways any tips would be great because this was kinda outa the blue.

How many tanks do you have? If you have an other one, (just a suggestion), you might want to get the eggs and parents in that tank soon.

get the bichirs out u dont want to move the eggs too much and they might die of moving them to different water

If you don't have another tank, snip the leaf and put it in a bucket with aquarium water, an airstone, and a heater. Add some methylene blue or something to prevent fungus. Wait until they've hatched then switch them off into a water bottle poked full of holes with a pin. Float it in the aquarium. Add foods to the bottle. I've never had success letting the parents raise the fry, even though they are apparently good at it.

thanks for the replies. i have another tank BUT i'm currently making it into a in tank sump/w/d so can't use it:( i'll try the bottle idea hopefully i'll be able to save some, if not i wasn't really trying to breed them but i'm glad they are healthy enough to try. i'll keep yall posted as to my first experiment:D
