Sorry to hear that.

I saw that coming. I ignored the eggs because of the new tank, and the fry died because of that decision.

Do you know where the fungus that infects eggs comes from? I can have a perfectly clean and healthy, fungus free tank, and in a couple of days, it's on the eggs.

TBH really don't know, thought the same thing so now when I hatch eggs separately I use methylene blue kept fungus from spreading to good eggs, and fry.

I put anti-fungal medicine in the tank, but it seems that it doesn't work the same as MB. It's a shame, because I have almost a gallon of it.

Try MB next time, and you should get a better yield.

My dad doesn't want to buy anymore chemicals unless it's water conditioner or alkalinity buffer. He says those are the only chemicals that determine the survival of the fish, which is true for everything but the fry or sick fish.
