Angelfish in a cup....wal-mart.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I took a peek at the fish in my wal-mart last night. They don't even have any betta's in bowls or angel's period. Their tanks are still a discgrace and very disgusting. the middle ones have been busted for two months (cracked). The fish that they do have are dead or dying. Duh here's a clue try cleaning your tanks once in a while!

sadly i bought 4 angelfish from wal mart in betta bowls
i felt so bad for them
only 1 died though the other 3 are ok
whats funny is that all the fish i ever bought from my local wal mart are still alive only 1 has ever died he jumped and commited suicide out of his vase(a betta)

when i was 6 my royal betta jumped out of his vase and i came into the house and almost steped on him! i saved him though and he still lives on today even though he is 7years old...

I currently have a betta in my 5 with a very old painted glass pair (I inherited them from my mother as I don't agree with what they do to them and would NEVER buy them) Had him about 6 months.

Why are you even buying from Walmart? The only place I support are my LFS. I know they are more expensive but my store has a lot of good stock and I enjoy looking at all the oddballs he gets in. Toilet paper I buy from Walamart. Fish food and fish from Fantastic Fins in Livonia Michigan. If no one buys pets or pet supplies from Walmart they will see it is a waste of time having fish and leave the fish be sold by mom and pop stores that know what they are doing.

Given how WalMart treats their employees, is anyone really surprised how they treat their livestock?

My kid and I were in Walmart yesterday and didn't realize they sold fish. Unbelievable. My kid is 11 and said how sorry she felt for those fish and knew they were all going to die eventually if nobody bought them. There were at least a few hundred dead fish caught in the filters throughout all the tanks, and nobody working anywhere near the fish area. Bettas in cups just stacked up like cans of corn. Prices were very high compared to everywhere else. They definitely should reconsider selling fish company wide, and hopefully, if nobody buys any fish or supplies from them they make that decision. My daughter wants to write a letter to the Walmart manager.
