Well I'm sorry to say the little one didn't make it :( <sigh>

i am sorry to hear it... my sympathy to you..

it always hurts to loose a fish. what everyone here has been telling you is right its not about keeping fish its about keeping clean fresh crystal clear water. like ya know when you get really thirsty ?you wantthe most filtered clearwater you can drink wellyour fish really dont have a choice in what they get to drink but i do get to choose what my fish get to drink i like to keep my fish super healthy i do a 30 percent to 40 percent water change twice a week with one gravel vaccum. ive only lost one fish in 3 years of keeping fish. the death was due to aggression. ive never had the need for an alage scrubber because theres none in any of my tanks. even the tanks that house fish like my black rhombeus where i dont keep a pleco i have never seen a hint of alage on the glass and it does get a little sunlight in the morning. i guess what im trying to say is that you had a 29 gallon tank full of fish and to keep so many fish in a 29 gallon tank isnt easy unless your me and you enjoy cleaning detrius out of your tanks and seeing your fish glimmer in crystal clear water. sometimes i barely get any detrius when i vaccum but... none would be no good for your biological bacteria so i do leave a small amount . i guess what im trying to say is try and make changing your water for your fish fun. if i thought it was healthy i would change all the water in all of my 11 tanks every single daysmallest one being 60 gallons. and i work all day. but the thing is it really has become enjoying to me. and who knows maybe after you start increasing your water change schedule your fish will turn into true monster angelfish. the big old guys. sorry about your loss it hurts alot to loose a fish. :(

Gosh, I thought 1 every 2 wks was frequent. Now that I've read and read and read and hearing all the input I need to turn it up a notch! Thanks for the kind words. It's so hard to lose them when their life is in your hands and you make a bad judgement call. Now that they are in a 55 I'm going to do a wc weekly. And see how that goes. Thanks again!
