Angelfish with Neon or Cardinal Tetra?

I HAD Neons with my Angels for close to a year. There were 12 Neons, then 11, then 10 then, 9... you get the idea.

I have 12 Rummy Nose with my Angels. They have never muched them and they are so pretty. They stay in a tight pack way more than the Neons ever did. Maybe that's why they don't get eaten.

Neons and Cardinals will in time end up as food. Especially the way they sleep my adult Angels would pick them off at night. Black neons get a little larger. I've always had luck with Glo-Lite Tetras, Serpaes and Harliquin Rasboras being the best.

My only exception is the serpae tetras. Mean brats. They have a nasty habit of nipping anybody's fins within their reach. Rummy nose tetras are also nice as they are much larger than the neons but they are more delicate than the rest of the fish already mentioned.

I have lemons with my wild discus which are all over 5". they stay schooled most of the time. these tetras never look that good in a lfs but after a while in a home aquarium they become quite beautiful. much easier to keep than rummies or cardinals.
