so im thinking of purchasing some botia kubotai but im not sure they would make a good fit with my community tank even after having read care sheets for them so iv got some questions. :)

Do they jump? i can put the lid back on if i have to but i really love the look of an open top aquarium.

Would they eat fry? iv got emperor tetras and it was a pleasant surprise to have found a fry in the tank.

Is a 29 gallon big enough for them?

Do they eat plants? mainly, i care about my anubias since they would be the most expensive to replace.

They do eat trumpet snails right?

Compatibility issues? I'v got emperor tetras, banjo cats, p. oblonga, and a female celebes rainbow.

Is three enough? i don't want to overstock too much.

I'm not sure on the jumping as i've always kept my tank covered.
They shouldn't eat any fry. Mine never have anyways.
I'd say a 29 is big enough for a few of them (3-5).
I'd be wary of the plants...be prepared for them to nibble on them although they shouldn't destroy them like say, a cichlid would.
They will eat trumpet snails, and just about any other snails they can find.
As far as compatibility, they are very peaceful with other fish.
Three should be fine. I've got 6 but mine don't seem to enjoy each others company as much as the clown loaches do.
Hope that helped!

Go for it. You won't regret it. Normally I don't recommend the chain stores but petsmarts often have them for 10 bucks a piece or so which is cheaper than any lfs i've ever seen. Sorry if you already knew that, I just thought i'd try to save you a little cash if I could.
