Well we went to pick the boys up from school today and all was good in my fishies world but when we came back there were eggs laid in the corner of my tank. Wasn,t expecting that. But we roll with the punches pretty well, So heres what we came home to.
So here are my questions for you, how long till they are free swimming, When to move the babies, How to move the babies, And what kind of setup to move them to. also when and what to feed them. Thanks in advance

a little more background of the tank, I recently lost my pleco, so needless to say there is alot of algea build up and I missed a water change. I thought angels liked extremely good water conditions to breed. I guess love conquers all LOL!

Same with mine, I used to do weekly water changes then skipped one and they laid eggs. It should be 2-3 days until wigglers and I don't remember how long until free swimming.... Since there is no more pleco anymore the eggs have a better chance!
It looks like the angelfish in the picture is the mom. do you have pictures of Dad??

yes there is a dad I hope I have a good grasp on the birds and bees :naughty:LOL!first picture is Dad second picture is Mom

so I have been doing a little research and was wondering if anyone has tryed this,
I went to Wally world tonight and was looking at sterilite containers found a 58 quart which is 14.5 US gallons, and a 73 quart which is 18.25 US gallons was thinking of using one of these with a sponge filter would this be ok size wise to house the babies for a few weeks?

Nice fish!! My breeding pair has a gold female (just like yours) but a zebra male. I looked at the video by Jazzy78910 on youtube and I still learned a few things, It's really well made! You should watch it, it's in 2 parts.

Yes!! Just make sure you have the appropriate sponge filter. I would move the babies as soon as they're free swimming into the 18 gallon because then you won't half to worry about ammonia, nitrites/trates as much, however you will still half to do at least 1 waterchange per day.

When you say use the appropriate sponge filter, Which kind do you use? and do you have pictures? Any info would be much appreciated
