oh yeah on nat geo ya i saw that what a pity. On the brighter side that must have been a nantucket sleigh ride while fighting it.

yup. great they released it like true fishermen. unlike some rednecks who call the monster fish they BOW-FISH "beautiful" then pepper it with arrows and leave them to die.

Hey that is not cool, they do not pepper it and leave it to die they take the thing back on the boat. That is like saying bow hunting for deer is horrible because in essence they are the same.

I would like to think i would have taken more pictures and pref a vid expecially of when i released it. I think its always great to see fish get let back to continue on there merry way. Ive never caught anything like that but I have done a lot of lake fishing.

Pure monster!

Very awesome sturgeon, glad they released it.

wow talk about a great catch and release fish

I enjoy bow fishing for carp, suckers & gar, and we eat everything we kill while hunting or fishing. There is no ceatch & release in hunting, or bow fishing so the people I associate with do not take the shot unless they can make use of the animal, or fish.

I also enjoy fish on a rod & reel, & a fly rod, or even in fish tanks.
There are a lot of good ways to enjoy fish.
