This truthfully tho doesn't surprise me In the slightest. I own a cichlid speciality store and you wouldn't belive the amount of people who come in thinking there going to cram a **** to of fish in a "big" tank and by big I mean 20 g max lol. And as the buisness owner it's so hard to stear them away from a sale but I was a hobbiest long before I was a sales person so fish needs come first but yeah these things kill me I always end up with fish I don't want cus I have to "rescue" them lol

There are some Aquarium stores that will gladly let u overstock your tank in a bid to sell fish but i doubt very much they would advise people you could keep an Oscar in a 20gal tank, only a big chain store such as Wal-Mart would give people unscrupulous advice such as this.
