Anime Movies

Being that there are a lot of asians on MFK, (not that they are the only fans) but just looking for some advise.

I really enjoy japanese animation and would like to start collecting more movies.

to give you an idea of what i like, I have the following:

Ninja Scroll - my all time fav
Vampire Hunter D: BloodLust - also really good
StreetFighter 2 the animated movie
Princess Mononoke

also seen and enjoyed Biohunter, Blood, Fatal Fury 2, Akira among others

not into DBZ or Naruto,............ prefer movies over series

any help would be appreciated, btw, anything new coming out that is similar to anything i listed?

thanks, i'll look into those

i also have Basalisk but was disappointed. although the drawing was awesome. the movie Shinobi made from the Basalisk was disappointing too

 

[Aqua Sanctuary]

Akira is my fave. I love that movie.. Its pretty old but was way ahead of its time.

Definitely worth picking up if you see it.

"Sword of the Stranger" is a good movie.

I'm old school, I couldn't stand long episodes of anime, but I did enjoy Evangelion and Guyver.

Ninja scroll is also one of my top favs, but "The girl who leapt through time" is the best anime I have ever seen.

Other recommendations, Paprika and Tokyo godfathers.

I love all the Miyazaki stuff.

Especially Princess Mononoke.

seen quite a bit I liked Akira, Princess Mononoke, Vampire Hunter D as well. I havent seen the girl who lept through time but I would like to see it.

I just recently watched evangelion... I enjoyed that one (the series/movie)

Anywho here are some more movie suggestions: (I havent seen them all yet, but these are some of the movies I have seen or want to see)

-Blood the last vampire
-Karas the Prophecy
-Sword of the Stranger
-Appleseed
-5 Centimeters per second (might be more of a girl thing... but its not action packed its more about emotion and "how it is")
-Grave of Fireflys (WW2)


Maybe that will give you some ideas
