very strange and different personality with this fish.. he has pretented to be dead now 4 times...actually lies on his side when you put the tank light on and does not move a muscle, not a fin nothing..little mouth open... will stay that way for an hour... then if you move it to see {because you are extremely worried} it will dart away and go into his log home.. does any other knife fish anyone knows of have this personality trait???
hehe its annoyin when u got a fish u just cant id aint it.glad i could help,its my aim 2 b a superhero of the aquatic id'ing world(or side kick to a professor anyways hehe).they might look like a small mouthg but they can open it suprisingly wide,i have a sternopygus macrurus that looks like i could only just manage to eat a danio but it takes feeder goldfish witg no probs at all.
