Came back today to find my GT beating the living crap out of my two blood parrots.

Simple question, which would you keep? GT looks phenomenal, BP's are a bit more friendly towards tank mates. I'm guessing most are gonna recommend the GT.

Tank is a 90 gal

Gt all the way. Not some deformed ugly ducklings of the fish world.

Which do you like better ? I remember you being fond of the bp's

If its the gt then rehome all depends on what you think will suit you long term

GT. BPs are ugly. I saw a 12 inch GT at an LFS once. that was an awesome fish. Imagine yours fully grown.

LOL So, its not just me! I never understood the popularity of these things (BP)

Put me down for "keep the GT, rehome the BPs"

Man You guys are brutal

Thanks for the responses, I'm pretty miffed as I was semi-confident the combo would work long term; cichlids will be cichlids though I guess.

I'm leaning towards keeping the GT, he's too magnificent not to keep; I would put the BP's in my tank upstairs, but my interest in the hobby has been relatively low for a while, looking to cut down to the one big tank.

I suppose I should be happy that I can still have a convict in with the GT.

I agree with some of the other comments.
I think of BPs in the same ilk as balloon goldfish, FHs or Glofish and should not be kept with legitimate cichlids.
But perfect in tanks with other "Fischer Price" types
