Ugh this really sucks!!! You were an insperation for all of us who are trying to put jars in coms!! You need to get a new one man!! I spent the night up at my buddyls apartment in summerville (about an hour or so away) and this just makes me want to rush home and check on my fish!!!

Thanks for the replies.I questioned my kids if they had done anything different around the tank.It turns out that the Jar was poisoned.The day before my kids were cleaning up around the house thinking they were doing a favour for their mother.My 6 yr old daughter accidentally sprayed "spray and wipe" into the sump.It wasn't much apparently but obviously enough to send my Jar to fishy heaven.I guess we live and learn the hard way sometimes.

Thanks for the welcoming Miguel but only back for only 3 days,LOL.Work beckons.I didn't have the heart to tell her off.She didn't know any better and she was upset as much as I to loose this fish.Miguel;989192; said:
Jars from my research are less tolerant to chemicals than the other species I have in this tank.I didn't put 2 and 2 together at the time but I remembered that hes eyes were sunken in when I found him listless which can be a sign of poisoning..The params were fine but I did a 50% W/C at the time just in case but I think the Jar was to far gone by this time but the w/c was enough for the others to pull through.
Live and learn...we all know, with kids...I tremble with my 10 months old baby daughter..will have to worry all over again..got 5 past the dangerous "tank danger age"...now I'm back at it......
