so for the fun of it I through in some scallop. that he ate, so I guess I will do this the old fashion way. seafood first then pellets. Wanted to do pellets first. oh well. Now what do I do with the two dozen guppies I bought just in case I had a problem.

See if the LFS will take them back and give you a credit. With as close to success as you are, there's no need to risk regressing now!

Definitely. If you've already got him to take something other than live guppies, don't feed those to him. He very well may go right back to his old habits and not bother with anything else. No sense in starting over just because of a few guppies.

giving them to the taft isn't a consideration. It was between feeding them to the cloud archers are releasing them in the community tank. Released into the community tank. Think the smiling acuras enjoyed them.

so here is the around three week update. Probably less of an interest in pellets then when I first got him. No interest in krille. Now now interest in tilapia or other seafood. Put five filamentous barbs in the tank as dithers he terrorized them for a day and then stopped. He still looks pretty good and not looking scrawny. Trying to decide if I should continue with the pellets and krille or just buy some frozen small fish.

Mine take 2-3 weeks to take pellets aggressively again after feeding them tilapia or salmon or silversides .... so what I've decided is feed pellets 99 percent of the time and every once and a while a little cut fish, but after feeding the fish, don't feed for 3 days, then drop pellets in .... they always like the fish better, but pellets are easier and healthier in my experience

so picked up frozen lance fish yesterday. No interest in this either. He was showing more interest in pellets and fresh fish filets week one then now! Will continue to offer a variety of feeds. he will eat evenutally

Be consistent. I suspect the SDs didnt work for the tiger because the didn't look like him. Did he ever attempt to school with the dollars or did he do his own thing?

The fila barbs may or may not work. Patience and consistency are the keys to success here. Give one kind of food (I recommend jumbo carnisticks), let the tinfoil barbs teach him (I know you have something else) and let him starve till he figures it out. Every tiger I've had has broken like this and every member on here who has used my method has, to the best of my knowledge, succeeded in time.
