what about water current? I just put a koralia 4 in there to keep the poop from building up on the bottom. Do Aro's object to a lot of water movement?

Smaller aros do have issues with water current, mainly at the surface level. I've got a pretty good current in my 180g and my silvers actually swim into it. So I think the bigger fish can easily over power stronger currents.

well the koralia is pointing down-ish right now, and will get moved to the bottom when I install my FiberGlass background, so the surface should be relatively calm. *sigh* well the lfs closes in an hour, I'm trying to be a good boy and not buy on impulse.

My aro was not very skiddish only during WC's and the time following. He would very gently take shrimp and krill from my hand. Not aggresive at all. He had some teeth though, he would kinda like suck on my finger if I left it in the water near him lol. You could do a gar as they slow down once they reach about 15" or some FW barracuda. I just got 5 of them wow they eat like monsters lol

I would buy the aro. Even if he causes problems, just bring him back to the lfs. However, Im guessing it'll be bliss. Next time you get a chance, go for it. BUY HIM

If my digicam wasn't broken, this would be a pic of him swimming in my tank ;)
