Mine from Los Angeles from JesseIsletas, he claims it WC from the seller who had it imported.

Before you got her from Jes, he got her from me. I got her from Coa. Got them as WC Peru fry.

I know she was yours after all, I tried to buy her from you but you decided you didn't want to sell her at that time. I saw her in the store and just had to have her! Glad I did, she's a beauty. Hope she'll be published in a magazine?

I've been hearing that barless is common in Peru festae. Mine are f2 rio tumbes

Barless Festae are not found in the wild. Never has been, never will be. It is a direct result of inbreeding and is not exclusive to Rio Tumbes. If someone sold you bar-less specimens and claimed they were wild, please tell em quit hording the Crackpipe. The initial distributions of Rio Tumbes from Florida were all barred. Subsequent offerings thereafter were not the same, neither in profile, nor patterns. They were tank bred, pond/vat raised, inbreds. Unbarred Festae could never survive in the rivers of Ecuador/Peru. They are cave dwellers in their native habitats. Barring and the ability to fade them or darken is an adaptation to living in such a dark murky environment. Also is why true F0's are inheritantly shy.
