Tetraodon nigroviridis is the common GSP you can get anywhere, right? If I'm wrong, tell me. I'm still learning. My understanding was that GSPs were born in freshwater, then move on to brackish, and sometimes eventually marine. This (likely terrible) source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetraodon_nigroviridis
says the opposite, that adults are found in freshwater, and they are born in brackish.

Can i get a verification from anyone?

Thank you. I really should join the puffer forum. you know how many times I've been directed there since I got mine?

me too, no worries. I started keeping puffers and got puffer fever for a long time. I still have 5 at the moment LOL

yeah, the green spotted wasn't listed under freshwater puffers. that's your point, I guess?

Mine is happy and growing (slowly) at a SG of 1.010

sorry, i just posted the link from my saved websites. I have FW puffers. here is the right link:

What do you feed yours? I feed mine freeze dried krill, and fresh raw shrimp. cooked oysters and mussels. anything I shouldn't be feeding? anything I should, but am not. I can't get him to eat pellets.

pellets is a no go for sure, maybe someone out there in the world got theirs to eat them, but I have not heard of it. Snails are good too, helps keep them dentures in check. Sounds like you are feeding them pretty well. Bloodworms and also super meal worms i have added to their diet.

mine munched on pellets once. couldn't get him to again. he's hit or miss with the freeze dried krill. loves the fresh shrimp and mussels.

I've never seen snails sold as food. guess you gotta breed them yourself?
