Another GSP question

mine munched on pellets once. couldn't get him to again. he's hit or miss with the freeze dried krill. loves the fresh shrimp and mussels.

I've never seen snails sold as food. guess you gotta breed them yourself?

they sell them at my LFS in all sizes and types, but you could bred them yourself too.

im currently breeding snails. all you have to do is throw few snails in a small tank or jar. with a small plant and let them do there thing. i garentee if yu put 10 snails in 1st then the week after yull have about 30.

how do yu keep salinity at a constant level?

im new to puffers since yesterday lol

If you go to Petsmart and ask for pest snails they'll give them to you for free (most of the time).

I feed mine snails and freeze dried krill.
I've been meaning on trying him on meal worms.

Snails are his favourite so far though.

You need an instant ocean hydrometer. The others don't go low enough to measure salt in brackish tanks. Slight fluctuation in the salt level is okay.

Instant ocean is what I use too, it's the only one I have seen that can measure brackish.

Also remember when you're doing water changes, put the salt in the bucket before putting it into the tank. Don't let any full salt pieces go into the tank - Knowing my GSP he'd try to eat it. LOL.

I keep mine around .06

Brackish fish are a lot easier then marine since it doesn't have to be perfect.
Also like above slight fluctuation is okay!

SeaTest hydrometers also start at 1.000. Be sure never to fluctuate the SG more than .002 in either direction, so as not to stress your biological bacteria & crash the system.
