Another Hydrolycus ID thread

If you couldn't ID a scomb, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a tat and armatus...
 
A friend wanted to give a try with these guys even if they are Scombs.
Thankfully he has a good camera so we have now some quality shots.
Give your best guys, is this Scomberoides 100%?

yo bro I never care about the scombs and raphs so i don't really research about them.
 
yup, definitely. for easiness (before you get into looking at the head/body shapes), you can see the dot underneath the pectoral fins for scombs. the armatus and tatauaia have a crescent shaped spots behind the gill plates.
