Lol. Relax gangster gangster . It's all relative. After a while the intermedia will be like the rest as people are successful in breeding them and they become less rare. I never said it was an unreasonable price. Just more than I feel I would spend on one. Keep in mind I recently spent $250 on a tigrinus so I'm not against buying expensive fish.

Plenty relaxed. You claimed $150 intermedia to be pricey. Therefore, you have no idea how prices in the cichla market work. I was clearly educating you with a little information from previous years. And $250 on a tig isnt a ton either. What some consider pricey, others consider pocket change. Its all relative.

So before you tell someone to relax, how about you educate yourself a bit more on a topic that you are clearly clueless on.

I can attest to what gangster is trying to say. I have paid near 500$ for special imported cichla. I used to have a different account under the name craztcat78. I have just gotten back into fish keeping and could not believe that the prices are where they are. The reason we take it personal is because when we bought a new fish it was not a 10-20 or even 100$ 3 inch fish it was pricy and we did everything to raise and care for that fish. It was a different game then.

The huge price drop in bass is one of the reasons a lot of OG's aren't around or into them much anymore. Ive kept most bass over the years. But to this date a good looking orino like heatherbeast heatherbeast has is my holy grail. Cant beat those perfect occelets in my eyes.

So enjoy what ya can get and quit crying about the already lower than low prices.
i hope this is not true about why OG are out because that would b consider a fish snobs!

You would think more members from then would be back in the game at these prices. But then again where's the reward for showing off what's in the bowl *****. That's what I got out of that.

I admit that I'm still kinda new to some of the more rare species and only stated it was pricey to me. I understand how the market works. What's rare and expensive today will be overproduced and cheap later as suppliers try to fill the gap and make more money. And you are right. Expensive to someone is pocket change to another. I may have taken your original message the wrong way as can sometimes happen in a forum like this. On another note I picked up the lonely fish at the shop and within 30 minutes he lost all the darkness and colored up nice. image.jpeg
