I don't understand how a catfish like that could dismantle a similar sized fish, their mouths don't look big and they don't have any obvious teeth etc...

they ram, shred finnage and do very good impressions of underwater drive bys.... this is y i never trust a catfish.

dude i posted a thread in here a long time ago about mine. i had too get rid of him once he hit about 9" and his tail was just starting to turn red. MEAN ASSSSSSS MOTHAFUCHERS. i was doing a gravel vacuum one day and when my hand was close to his cave he came out and took a perfect nickle sized chunk from the side of my hand. i got rid of him after i noticed all my cichlids looking more and more ragged every day. cool fish. definitely an ARTC. have fun. one of the most aggressive fish ive EVER kept. maybe nice now, but one day he will become a fire breathing monster
