Another Indiana Fishroom

The sponge filters that I am using are rated up to 75 gallons each. However I double up and use 2 in my 75 gallon tanks and 4 in my 125's. I've never really tried to push my bio load. I'm trying to keep 2 species in my tanks for breeding purposes. I have 19 fish in one of my 125's. It would be the most loaded currently. Sponge filters are easy and cheap. It just requires that you vacuum the sand every water change.

I use 2 sponge filters rated at 55-75 gallons in my 110gallon Angel tank and they work well enough. I added a small 30 gallon HOB just to help skim the surface of the tank and add mechanical filtration, but you are right you need to gravel vac almost every water change. I do have 18 Angels approximately the size of the bottom of a pop can and then 9 smaller bristlenose and 1 emerald green cory cat. Awesome room though, great work!

looks great.i think you need more childrens toys in the work shop.you might grab like a plastic saw to cut and stuff.

you need to make a chest or something for that.

Nice, I really like your wall show tank, got the effect of a single big tank really well.

Thanks for the compliments!

Yeah, the before pictures showed just how much that room was used! It was basically a overflow toy room. Majority of those are located in several chest's and boxes in the junk room now.

My goal was to have the show tanks look like one large tank. I'm currently working on a DIY background which I'm hoping will add to that seamless look.

I agree with the box filters. However, I really don't want to add 42 of them. That's why I suffer with the vacuum. I figured I have to change the water anyway.
