Not to defend the person but at least they are trying to get rid of it.
Bingo, not at a totally ridiculous price, either. And yes, St. Charles is a Chicago suburb.

There is a St. Charles near Chicago, but this on is in Missouri in the west SL burbs.

I was hoping I'd hear back from them on it, so I am hoping someone else bought it already and are putting that oscar in a suitable tank.

Why does no one care about the pleco????????????????!!?!!???????????????????,,,??

This thread is just another craigslist ad. It gets posts while real questions are ignored....

Listen, folks, let's not be hypocritical towards others. Look at the bright side. He is selling at the very least and who knows the next hobbyist may be a little more responsible than him. Now, we have to step back and take a look at ourselves. We've been there somewhere before, haven't we as beginners? If you just came here to post the ad and lash at the owner, what are you hoping to accomplish? Why not just email him an advice instead of criticizing him harshly? This is similar to all other ads posted. We are not here to criticize anyone but to help.

It's sad to see, but unfortunately understandable. I remember my first aquarium, it was horribly overstocked with fish that grew much too large for it. I didn't know any better and the folks at the LFS made no effort to tell me otherwise. Of course it was also before so much info was readily available on the internet. Now I never jump off in any hobby or expensive pursuit without researching the hell out of it first. It's too easy to get good info now days.

thats awful, i can understand how ignorance can lead to bad fish owning, but at the same time, surely seeing/smelling that tank would lead you to a water change, especially before posting pics to advertise it for sale!

I've stated several times that I've attempted to contact the seller. The first I offered to buy, and in the second attempt I offered advise for future fish keeping, and still offered to buy it.

I also stated here that I hope someone did get the fish, and they are more responsible. My intent was not to bash anyone. I said that it was possibly due to their lack of being educated and shown how to properly maintain their tank and fish.
