Another Lungfish?

Well i just learned today of another lungfish that a person in close proxmity to me is giving away.
I am not sure of which species of african it is or how well it was taken care of,only that it is approx. 18". Now,all i have is a standard 20 gal. for a temp. house.
The question i have is about how long can i keep it in there allowing for really frequent water changes,as i set up my 100 gal. plexi.(I want to set the tank up in my garage,as my wife isn't all that happy with another tank in (her) house.
Since it is still winter and temps are 26 deg. on average at night i'm a little reluctant about this setup,what do guys think? (PLEASE BE KIND!)
(Tank is 24" long,Fish is 18" long)

Well, that depends on whether or not you WANT another one. If you don't, I'll take him off your hands!

But... that tank will be a very cramped tank, so I suggest you get the 100 going ASAP / NOW - otherwise, send him to me

(If it's a matter of lungfish, not size, then send him to me, and I'll send you one that will be comfortable in your 20 gallon (younger one)

It would be better to get a bigger a rubbermaid and temporarily house the lungfish in there.

An 18" lung in a 24" tank isn't a good idea, even for a couple of weeks.
