Another male Cuban?

First thought was Convict.. Can they even breed a convict and Cuban?

I have seen some out there but I purchased a group of Cubans from imperial tropicals and this one in particular grew really fast then stopped at what you see now about 3 months ago. The picture I posted in another thread is a male. This one here always had a black bottom half and would always fan and shake next to my male jag and festae. Neither of them were interested and pretty much ignored it.

that is a cuban. Looks like a female to me though, which would make sense with the behavior of trying to breed with your male ciclids

yes they can but determined it’s definitely Cuban.

that’s what I thought just getting opinions I second guessed it because my male looked just like her 2 weeks later totally different big growth spurt out of him.
