another "mixing aro's" thread (but w/a twist)

GL trying this...keep us posted as to how it goes...i wanna try to get like different aros (jar, black,silver,lei) and put them all together...that would be awsome if it worked out...

misterE, i kinda dissagree about lei's being mainly mid water... my lei is everywhere but mainly 3-4" below surface or at the surface. thats his zone. he does occassionally cruise around down low and around, but 90% of the time he's up top.

Well, I'm going to have to believe you considering that you actually OWN one.
I have just seen footage, and talk to different people in the about the subject. However, this combo has been done. What are your plan's with you Lei etnics?Tankmates, etc? I do know that they NEED a really large tank like asians and are just a little more tame than a Jar....still pretty damn hostil though.....Is he going into your 400 eventually?

Perhaps they tend to dwell in lower area's ( compared to a silver ) are they mature?

maybe as they mature and start to dominate the tank. mines still a lil bugger but so far what i said is what i notice. eventually it'll end up in the 400 but not for a while. ill eventually get rid of some fish to make it a total of 3 silver aros (mei leings included) and my leichardti but thats years from now. he should be fine in my 150 for like 2 years or so.

right now my lei is living wiith my motor, thin bar dat, ornate bichir, senegal, endli. my 3 pbass will be added soon, my other 2 indo dats will be added, and my fei feng will be added.

as they get big, ill be moving the 3 bass and the endli to the 400

Well Ive found a sponser who is selling Lei (I suppose that much is obvious) but I'm having trouble finding somone with a black the size I want...probably 8-10"

220 should be here by this weekend!

should last them a good 2 years at least I'm thinking.

You guys figure if I just switch over the old filters(and some new filtration of course) with the fish that it will be all good?(as far as "insta-cycle")

PS: FWIW Ive only seen a few pics of steves lei but every time I do its swimming toward the top.
