Just thought I would say hello! I found this site through The Planted Tank(member there also, same name) and thought I would check it out. Been in the fishkeeping hobby for about 7 years now. Have tried tetras, barbs and even an attempt at saltwater but always find myself coming right back to my favs......CICHLIDS!!! My avatar is a pic of my first monster. He was about 5 years old and approx 13" when he passed:( I loved the big guy!

My tanks currently...
125 gal Planted Mbuna tank-just started and still thinking of what to stock
so far have 6 Bumblebees and a pleco
75 gal Planted Community
94 gal Turtle setup

Welcome to MFK. Post pics of fish and setups when possible. No rush, today is fine.:grinno:

Hey ya!! Welcome to MFK!! You know, Crenicichla (pike cichlids) would be PERFECT for that 125gal planted! They are one of the few cichlids that work great in planted tanks cuz they generally won't mess with the plants! :D Anywho, welcome! :D

Okay here are some pics of my tanks. The last pic is of my last Mbuna setup. It was my BEST! My 2 year old decided to feed them one night while I was at work and poured the whole can in the tank:irked:. To top it all off, he then proceeded to unplug the power strip.....You see where this is going:cry:
I guess it was my fault because I would let him help me feed them.
The Bumblebees in my 125 gal are actually offspring from the 2 I had in this tank. Luckily I had put them into a 10gal before all this took place.

Sorry if the pic of my planted tank is dark. The lights have not come on yet.

I am planning on mainly keeping Anubias, Java ferns, and probably Jungle Vals in the 125. On the big Holey rock in the center, I am planning on attaching some kind of moss.
My wife and I are already discussing what our next tank will be. I am leaning more towards Monsters ,so that means bigger tank. Just have to figure out what we want and how big of tank we will need.

Nice setups. P_P, stop trying to push your pikes on everyone. Next thing you'll tell them is, "First one's free".

Well the saying goes..."If it's free then it's for me"

Don't encourage the Peanut. Or feed.
