Thats actually a great idea!!! Thanks!! :D

Forgive me world for the monster I have unleashed.

Depends on the species, there are dwarfs that normally max out around 5" in home aquaria. Or there are the 'beasts' in the Lugubris group normally are in the 14" range, but some can get 18" and larger. There are few species that get 24"...but none that large have yet to be recorded in captivity. Saxatilis group pikes generally range in the 10 to 12".

Just come HERE and check it all out!! ;)

would any of these be compatable with my Mbuna....aggression wise and water chemistry
also what about the bichirs...I have looked at these quiet a few times at my lfs

They would probably kick the mess out of mbuna to be honest with you, or eat them. Never really kept any Africa cichlids period, let alone with pikes. They can handle their own though, and are commonly the dominant fish in the tank! ;)

They normally get along great with bichirs as long as one or the other isn't too small to be eaten.
