My condolences to the American people and the wider global community for the loss of ~50 lives.

Why anyone who doesn't live in a rural/farm setting requires a gun is beyond me.

Again consider what happened in Australia in 1996. Most are restricted from having handguns and many types of rifles. A further point is that general "self defense" in not considered a valid reason for having a handgun. The authorities also get to make the decision.

Speaking as an Aussie who lives in the suburbs who has a firearms license and has 3 high powered target/hunting rifles (And a 22) and until quite recently had 2 pistols. i find both of these posts "Irksome".
 
what people fail to realize is it isn't the weapon doing the killing. People want to blame the fact that these weapons have a high capacity for destruction without the need to slow down or reload. Fair enough. But what they don't understand is when one weapon is harder to get, the people that want to do all this damage simply find a different mode of delivery. If an assault weapon ban goes through I can 100% assure you mass bombings go up. Hell in Bangladesh they have gangs running around using machetes to kill people they don't agree with...it doesn't stop just because you close one avenue for the killers in this world.

Ahhh yes amen !!!

Just read last night 20 radicals attacked a music store that was having a party for the new cold play album (i think it was cold play not sure) they aytacked the party goers with pipes.....

The internet has become more dangerous than any fire arm
