Another oil rig explodes close by first one

news like this just pisses me off. they know there are huge natural gas reserves and ts dangerous for the people who work for the animals and yet they keep drilling what the hell is wrong with them
 
i wonder why they keep doing it as well since all they are doing is messing up ecosystems of every ocean animal
 
Someone on that link brought up the idea that BP could be behind this as part of a plan to get another company invovled in the cleanup costs.It's a conspiracy theory of course but would'nt that be something else if it turned out to be true?

I don't mind the drilling, but it's silly that they aren't taking proper care of the rigs and following the rules so close after BP.

I remember having the chance to go there back in the 90's... glad I didn't.

This is awful. I would say that they really do need to keep up on maintaing the rigs out there, but all the articles I have read said the were doing maintance and it was shut down when it happened. hmm. unless they didnt upkeep on it before hand?..

I dunno but it makes me mad and I really dont think we should be out there at all period and if this produces another bad spill at all they really need to reconsider having them out there at all.
 
Unfortunate as these instances are, as long ax we are dependent on oil, we will keep drilling. Oil is the backbone of our society. Love it or hate it.
