Very true. How long have you lived in Alaska? I would love to see the northern lights in person, have you ever?

It was 10 degree's out that day with 40 MPH winds....Very cold....
Just wish we had a better skyline is all-It's not that impressive to look at compared to other's skylines....

I have lived here a total about 9 years now-I have moved away and came back....So not a constant 9 years total....

I can view the northern lights from my house-If the weather is clear and it is very dark out-


90% of the Northern Lights pics everyone see's has either came out of Canada or up around the fairbanks area and further on up---I couldn't even snap a picture of what I see from here----It just wouldn't show up...

One day I will travel up their for a weekend (roughly 400 miles away from me) and try my hand at them-----But I certainly need some better gear before I think about that one.....
 
A mere 400 miles :) .Well if you ever make it take pictures and post. It is amazing how stunning ...... gas, can be
