ANOTHER PLECO I.D. REQUEST.....

Just picked up this little guy tonight and was wondering exactly what he is...( L.????) He was listed as a Royal but just wanted to make sure...Also is $20.00 about right for him....

I thought it as a Royal but the white on the end of his tail threw me off..I loked all over online and couldn't find a royal with the white tail....

Oh yea and how big will this guy get and how long does it usually take ????

I'm counting on the MFK pleco experts to back me up on this, but IME all juvenile royals have white on their tails, and all lose the white as they grow up.

Also, IME Royals grow very very slowly. They can reach upwards of 14 inches eventually though.

Not quite. L027 have red eyes. This would be an L191.

Royal plecos vary in type. Some have the white tail some do not. Not all get to be 14", and not all are limited to 14". Some stay as small as 9"SL, some as large as 18"SL.
