Im in a similar situation with a weeksii that is outpacing my del. The del is pretty much frozen at 9" and the weeksii is currently 13". Not that I expect a monster weeksii but it will likely get big enough to make a meal out of the del unless the del puts on some size. everything Ive seen members post here has said if they are sized close to each other usually no issue, but would a 20" bichir eat another bichir half its size?

I had a 17-18" pbb with my 5" weeksii and 9" del with 0 issues whAtsoever also have other bichirs that were 3x the size of the weeksii lol 14-17" he was always out with the big boys fighting for food and what not

As long there well fed and mouth can't get around the girth of the other then it should be ok. Now I have a 13 inch teugelsi and i separate it from my 5 inch and stringy looking retro and p polli. Those two will get eaten if they escape in with the bigger guys.

Depends on fish, i have 4 inch del with 9-10 inch moke, sen and palmas, no issues so far. 10 inch Endli that i sold ate 5 inch skiny del and fat 3 inch acara. Hes stomach looked like its going to explode lol

I never have issues with any of mine. My two teugs are harmless. My big lap gets nippy but tries nothing with my smaller polys

no such thing as to many polys. the more the better. I have 18-20" polys with 8" ones. they do fine. most poly's they start to slow down in growth around the 12-15" mark.
nice moke btw
