I think my ray is pregnant but not looking as fat as she should. Maybe it's still too early or she isn't.
I've got her with a male and another female (which is too young to breed)
and some other fish ( clown knife, bala sharks, tin foil, green phantoms).
She's getting nipped at and stressed by the male.
question is, do I separate her from the bunch or should I separate the male?
In the same tank.

Another question, I've noticed this female isn't as active as she was. Is the a good sign of being pregnant?

She sounds stressed, you should seperate her. This is why my leo female gave birth to premature pups the other day, the male stressed her out

The prego female is a lot more active this morning and almost seems like she misses the male bugging her.

Female doesn't seem to be pregnant but not positive.
How long should I keep them apart before I reintroduced them?
Obviously after her disk gets better but how long after that?

That's for any help.

Maybe it's just the photo but the rays seem fairly small. How large are they? You can reintroduce her any time and just watch them.

If you look at the pic again, she's the one on the left in back. Closer one is my male.

When not prego if she can hold her own and is still eating with the other rays she should be fine.

When she prego she needs to be stress free. If the rays are picking on her just a little seperate again.

I just write dates down or remember when you first posted this thread. If you dont see any movement in 60 days then deff not prego

Thanks trev.
I'll just wait til her disk gets a little better.
Then I'll try it again.
