i agree banjar red are disappointing
silver arowanas have more red in them
add a few extra $$$ and get rtg

i knew you would agree

the 1st asian aro i got was a banjar and i was so disapointed with it

then i got a RTG and i was all the time

buy a green if you dont want to spend lots of money on a fish
save the extra money and get the RTG if you want a sweet looking aro at the fraction of the cost of xback

Don't mean to sound like a broken record, but i agree 1.5 reds are not the most desirable asian arowanas. I have not seen a LFS in my area import or offer 1.5s for a long time, there is no demand for them, i have seen large 1.5s and the color mix is very ugly. You have the body of a green with some pink in its fins, unless you like that look i would definitely pump out an extra couple hundred for a quality HBRTG ... in the long run it is definitely worth it

no resurch needed you buy a RTG and you will be happy

their is not much of a gamble with a RTG they all turn out nice in the end

ive said this in a similar post but anyway
i wouldnt purchase an arowana without seeing where it was kept and how high the quality was
not all aros are nice looking or healthy
do some research on this before buying
