ok. im in the process of setting up my new 180. the weirs have some kind of durso standpipe dealie going on... the inlet pipe is supposed to be at the water level of the weir. but what should that level be? the same level as the combs? or lower? ir does it not really matter? thankyou :)

Does the base of the weir have a single or double drain? My tanks have double drains where only a single drain is needed. The extended durso pipes rise higher than the water level of the tank to allow for passing electrical cabling from inside the stand up to the lights and fan. It improves the look by containing and concealing the cables and airlines.

this is the instructions that came with it. there is a single drain in each of the 2 weirs.

im surprised at that. I'd have thought the opposite. not doubting you, just surprised. I guess seeing how your level changed, it doesn't really matter? other than the noise?

Mine is about an inch below the bottom of the combs. If you go to the website for Durso and look at the build instructions, it will all be clear.
