Well if you dont know they have bought a number of Super Pet locations, and at super pets you used to be able to trade in your fish, but now that Pet Smart owns then they dont do that anymore because they dont want to risk their animals but I bet you my fish are healthier then theirs....

And I dont really like dealing with PJ's because they have little tanks with tiny fish...

Stupid Petsmart.....

oh and something else to add to the list, I went there (since they used to be the best fish place in town) and I got a 6 Apollo Sharks which was fine... but what wasnt fine was the lady trying to sell me little piranha as silver dollars...
Thats terrible man! My LFS will take any fish off me, provided they can house it.

petsmart told me a midas will eat my jack dempsey, well i got it anyway and my 3 minch midas doesnt even chase my 1 inch jd
I'm sorry, but you brought up a 2 year old thread to say that?

Haha, and depending on tank size, your Midas will probably destroy your JD when it gets older...so I'd mark it as correct from Petsmart.

I always love how people compare specialized LFS to Petsmart. Petsmart is in business to make money. You make money off of dog food and hard goods, not fish.

RBP at Petsmart? Never seen it in MD. Petsmarts, and not even Pacu's (Easily mis-ID'd in juvenile stage to novice) have ever hosted RBP's.

As someone else said, I wish that we had Petstupids in MD selling RBP as silver dollars! What a steal.

On a side note, I did have two (foopahs) in MD. Petsmarts.

1. At the Glen Burnie petsmart, I went in to buy two Senegal Bichirs ($6.99). They were together in the tank with African Brown Knife ($9.99). The girl asked if the two Bichirs she bagged for me looked good. I did not have the heart to tell her that both fish looked reasonably healthy, but one was an african knife. I paid $14 for the bichir/ knife pair. Sxhweet.

2. At the Westminster Petsmart, they had a extremely wild patterned reddish purple and blue african cichlid in with the Yellow Lab/ Ahai tank. I took a chance on the strange fish at the $7.99. It has peacock pattern and more of a compressiceps-calvus body shape. I'm happy with it.

Not bad advise, though the midas won't eat the JD there is a chance that it could kill it.

I don't get the constant Petsmart/Petco slagging...it's like making fun of the slow kids in the special-ed class...just leave 'em alone in their little world where Senegal bichirs cost 40 bucks and Channel cats are good aquarium subjects...
