ive ran the xp3 and have been happy with it. runs good, strong, and quiet. so i decided to get another one to run with it. all for a 125g. and just as a curious question is it possible for a tank to have too much filtration?

if its salt current is a much needed part of the success equation.
just think about the ocean with waves and tides.

I also have 2 xp3's on my 125. No need to worry.

If you notice your fish being blown around,:nilly: , then you have to much current

I run 2 XP3s on my 135 Malawi Tank along with a UGJ system powered by a Quiet1 pump (I think it runs 1017gph and have 6 jets). Fish aren't bothered by the current and often times I catch them swimming right in front of the UGJs.

i have a mag drive pump that pushes out 1300 gallons a hour. Its a wet dry, i had one sprayer now i have 2, its all good!

If ya have to much current just point it at the glass. Use the spraybar that comes with it, that jet will create a ton of water movement.
