That Festae is something special, he doesn't look like most where they're more yellowish/gold. Hope you do keep him as I have always wanted to see a full grown green male Festae.
I will be keeping this guy for sure. He is such a mellow guy which helps.

You think everything is a "low grade flowerhorn" :

I believe it to be a true trimac with a slightly different pattern than I am used to seeing (which makes sense being that you are in Australia). Trimacs often don't have just three spots. Either way its a great fish and an excellent addition to your tank.

Thanks g. I agree with the 3 spots not being an accurate way to tell.;) Being here in Australia, one wouldn't know if the difference is from hybridization or simply from many generations of tank breeding. It's been so long since they were allowed to be imported so it could just be the limited gene pool.

Man your fish are flawless! I can't even say I have a favorite. They all look amazing.

Love all the shots but i too am imterested in the trimac, what size is he GT ??

He looks like anything i've seen over here in oz labelled as a Trimac.

This may be his little brother !!

He'd be about 7" at a guess give or take Dave. The Jag is a smidge under 15" so the 2nd pic gives some perspective. It wasn't so much the color putting any doubt in my mind but how high bodied he is. It is more than the norm IMO. Your's is looking cool. Being here is Aus, I would dare say the bloodline is probably related somewhere:) along the line.
