Very much south..
no matter the number of years in the hobby, sometimes we really do not think. Yesterday in the end of the afternoon had to put a marvellous Nile Perch, temporarily, together with a Jardini. The Perch is bigger.

Both were okqay for hours. However, under cover of the night, the Jar let loose the hounds of war and the Perch is hovering between life and death ( I don't think she'll make it ) almost all of her scales missing and a terrible beating she got.....

Jar's surpass themselves, everyday...

Sorry to hear about your perch....

Are you considering putting her down since she seems to be in such bad shape???

Perhaps a divider next time you must temporarily house something with a potential killer.

I hate when they act like all will be well, and then BAM! Another baby bites the dust. Sorry for the encounter. Are you going to try and save her? Keep us posted Mig....

she's in a small tank, with melafix and salt. Since she tends to float and turn belly up, I have her fastened in the upright position ( reminds me of my red asian aro....) she keeps breathing. Tomorrow I will decide what to do and keep you guys posted , of course....

You probably already have it going, but make sure theres a direct current going into her face.

Already in place, yes.but thank you anyway:)

We all mak mistakes, its what you do afterwards that counts and you are doing all you can. Hopefully she pulls through.

not meaning to horn in on a sensitive subject, but how did you fasten her into place? May I see a pic? My apologies if my request offends.

I too am interested in how you restrained it.. a sort of sling perhaps? Any good news?
