Another trip to the lfs turned surprising

okay, did you have a question? or just making a statement? Most lfs carry that kind of stuff. At least the ones in my area do.

Maybe it is uncommon for his fish store to carry cool fish. maybe it is a boring fish store... you must have a cool fish store by you, you are lucky. You should be thankful that you DON"T have a boring fish store... Maybe I'll go visit the boring fish store today and go to the cool fish store tomorrow...

The LFS with the best selection and variety near me is about an hour away. There is another LFS that is only 5 min. from my house. They tend to get the same old bread and butter fish, but lately they have been stepping up the game. So for the last month I've been going in there expecting more surprises. I have purchased several fish from them that are truly hard to come by in general. So I can relate to your enthusiasm over finding fish that aren't commonly found in your area LFS.

You gotta love it when your lfs surprises you.

For me I have a bucket list of fish that I want. One of them was a lungfish. We never get things like that around here. Imagine my shock when my oldest daughter came up to me all excited telling me they had a lungfish.

I was blown away when I rounded the corner and came across a 2 ft wal.

ya i live where there are 3 lfs's besides petco and petsmart within a 30 mile radius and they usually have the most comon types of fish baisicly just goldfish guppys some pictus cats and common plecos o and maybe 3 species of cichlids

its cool that the local businesses are carrying such cool fish, but what really grinds my gears is when chain stores sell monster fish and give out wrong info(some stores), like my nearest petsmart like many others have recently been selling clown knives

i know what you meen my local petsmarts and petcos always crowd monster fish into 10 gallons and say they only grow to 10 inches

yeah thats ridiculous. or when they say it'll grow according to its tank. like a rtc will stay small, ha.

haha ya i know well fish will grow to the tank size but the internal organs will continue to grow thus causing them to die from internal trauma
